Michael Ansu-Damoah, Esq., is a legal professional who combines deep legal knowledge with expertise in International Food law, Food/Feed Safety Management Systems, Quality Management Systems and Lean Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvements.
Michael began his academic journey with BSc Chemistry (KNUST), MBA International Business (Amity University) and a program in International Food Laws and Regulations (Michigan State University). He later earned LLB with First Class Honours from GIMPA having pursed the prescribed programme of study at KAAF University College, and QCL (BL) from the Ghana School of Law.
Michael worked for Saxon Valley Foods (GEEST Plc Group England), Fairfax Meadow Ltd (England), Cargill Inc. (USA multinational company), GB Foods (Spanish multinational company Gallina Blanca) and currently serve as a Food Safety Consultant for World Bank Group (International Finance Corporation – IFC).
Michael has held technical and regional leadership roles in the Food industry in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa, with assignments in the USA.
Additionally, Michael has worked as International Organization for Standardizations (ISO) Expert on Technical Committees and CEN working groups for the development of ISO and EU standards. He also served as a technical committee member for the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) on Food and Beverages in developing Ghanaian standards.
Lastly, Michael has been a Guest Lecturer for Food Safety Management for University of Ghana undergraduate students of Department of Nutrition and Food Science as well as Master of Public Health and Nutrition students at Ensign Global College, Ghana.
